Do you enjoy helping people navigate the health insurance world?
 
We focus on Medicare and the under-65 individual market. We help people understand their Medicare options and guide them to the long-term plans that will help them. We also write ACA (under 65 individual policies), Small Group, Dental, Vision, and other products.
 
What does my average day look like?
 
You will be part of a competent service team that supports our clients every step of the way. You will have a variety of responsibilities with a strong, comprehensive training program. The beauty of this position is the ability to think proactively and provide recommendations to make the business run efficiently.
 
How much experience should I have?
 
Ideally, you should have one year or more of experience as a customer service/receptionist.
 
Customer Service/Receptionist Duties:
 

• Answer phones and greet clients
• Microsoft Office expertise, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Provide aid to prospective and current clientele
• Coordinate packets for agent appointments
• Correspondence with insurance carriers (cancellation letters, change requests, update issues)
• Add and maintain client information in CRM systems
• Upload monthly renewals from carriers into CRM
• Assist team with various projects
• Organize online folders for each carrier
• Assist with yearly open enrollment (October-December) 40+hours required weekly and possible Saturdays during this period

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task
• Prior health insurance experience a plus, especially in Medicare
• Self-motivated and organized
• Go with the flow and adaptable attitude
• Flexible schedule during busy season (October to December each year)
