About Us: We are Forest City Studio, a creative studio specializing in photography and marketing services for small businesses and local organizations. As we continue to expand our offerings, we are looking for a skilled freelance web developer to join our team on a project-by-project basis. If you are passionate about building beautiful, modern, functional websites and enjoy collaborating with creative professionals, this role is for you!

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites for various clients

• Collaborate with our team to translate design mockups into fully functional websites

• Implement user-friendly features and ensure seamless user experience across devices

• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices

• Troubleshoot and debug any issues related to website functionality

• Provide technical support and updates as needed

• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a web developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)

• Experience with back-end technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python) and databases (e.g., MySQL)

• Familiarity with popular CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace)

• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with creative teams

• Familiarity with SEO principles and web analytics tools is a plus

• Occasional in person meetings  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways

• Knowledge of website security best practices

• Basic graphic design skills for website content creation
