Become a Sponsor for the McKinley Community Outreach 5K Run/Walk!
We are writing to inform you of an opportunity to become a sponsor for the first annual McKinley Community Outreach 5K Run/Walk.The 5K will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2015 @ 8:30 AM at The McKinley Outreach Center (1200 Lost Nation Road, Willoughby, Ohio 44094). McKinley Community Outreach Center was formed to meet the under-served low-income population of Western Lake County (Willoughby, Willoughby Hills, Willowick, Wickliffe, Eastlake, Timberlake and Lakeline). The mission is to love our neighbors by assisting with basic needs, and creating a community of hope that supports personal and family stability, as well as fostering positive change. MCOC opened in June 2013 with the intent of consolidating ministries in Western Lake County to one location, and to offer a place for individuals and groups to serve their community. A wide variety of donations are accepted then distributed to the community free of charge. Each month, an average of 240 families receive assistance from the food pantry and 260 households receive help during the taxables (clothing, linens, furniture, books, pet food, shoes) distributions. Over 4,000 volunteer hours have been logged since June, and well over 12,000 hours have been logged since its grand opening. The board of McKinley Community Outreach Center continues to look at other service opportunities. The center has partnered with Auburn Career Center to offer free GED preparation classes, and with Ohio Guidestone to offer a Workforce 360 program for young adults aged 16-21. In July 2014, Immaculate Conception moved its Society of Mother Teresa choice Food Pantry to MCOC and expanded it to support all of western Lake County.
Please consider sponsoring the first annual McKinley Community Outreach 5K Run/Walk.Sponsor options are as follows:(1) Donation of $100 will provide your company/organization’s name printed on the back of the t-shirt.(2) Donation of $250 will provide your company/organization’s name printed on the back of the t-shirt in a larger font than option 1, your company’s name displayed on the 1, 3, or 5 mile markers, and two free event registrations. (3) Food or merchandise donation equivalent to $100 or $250 will result in option 1 and 2 mentioned above.(4) If you would like to make a food or merchandise donation equivalent to less than $100, for post-race refreshments or prizes, we will display your company name on our signage.
Checks payable to McKinley 5K Run/Walk.Sponsors will be accepted through May 15, 2015.
