This workshop, which is intended for both board and staff members of nonprofit organizations, is designed to meet the needs of those who are new to proposal writing as well as those who may simply need a refresher. Participants will learn how to strategically develop the components of the proposal, write convincing narratives, and present clear budgets. They will also have the opportunity for interactive dialogue with successful proposal writers and grantmakers who review and evaluate requests on a daily basis. Expert advice and tips will be provided by a team of highly experienced professionals, including: David Holmes, acting director and regional training coordinator, The Foundation Center; Betsey Kamm, director of institutional advancement, The Nord Center; Tim Kehres, executive director, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio; Lee Lazar, executive director, Rainey Institute; Tim McCue, senior program officer, William J. and Dorothy K. O'Neill Foundation; and Paul Putman, program officer, The Cleveland Foundation.
